NOTE: Business Calls/Faxes: Calls or Faxes for business purposes may be
made on GERG's Satellite telephone as required.

Personal Phone calls: With the exception of emergencies, personal phone
calls placed to or from GERG's Satellite telephone need to be cleared by
arrangement with Co-Chief Scientist (Dr. Norman Guinasso).

E-mail is checked/sent on the GYRE once in the morning and again at night.
A limited amount of personal E-mail can be sent/read from GERG's computer
in the ADCP lab. *Short* messages sent out by or received by e-mail can be
accomodated on the ship. The principal restrictions on email use is you
cannot send/receive attachments such as pictures, spreadsheets or documents
and you cannot Cc: a document to a third party.
